What is a web-ring?

A web-ring is a collection of websites connected in a circular structure, where each site includes links to navigate forward or backward through the ring. They were especially popular in the 1990s and early 2000s, before search engines became the main way to discover content online.

Why using this ol' tech?

Even though the prime of web-rings was some time ago, the importance of this now is perhabs greater than it was years ago. Websites stoped being a unique and personal places to express yourself and become generic, sometimes full AI-generated soullest site.

Web-rings helps to create a connecton or even better a community by simply linking each page with others.

What is dithering?

Dither is intentional noise added to reduce quantization errors and avoid artifacts like banding in images or audio. It works by arranging available pixels or tones into patterns that simulate missing colors or shades. For example, using black and white pixels to create the appearance of grays.

Brave the pixelated labyrinth to face the fabled minotaur in this homage to the low-bit PC adventure games of the olden days. A personal site full of shrines, art, and maybe even a secret or two to discover! (mobile-functional but not mobile-friendly)

my site is a passion project about self expression and [my photo/art/blog] archival. I miss the 90s-2000s!
